CMBHA are launching a 2024 Calendar Competition. If you would like to be in with the chance to win fame and glory, simply submit up to 6 images over the course of the year ahead. Keep reading for more details below.
Competition Prizes
For the best photograph overall:
- 1 Annual Membership of CMBHA (yes, okay, okay…it’s only a tenner anyway!)
- Image on display in the calendar (for the fame and glory!)
- A copy of the calendar
For the 11 runners up:
- Image on display in the calendar (remember, fame and glory!)
Competition Rules
Entries must be received by 30th September 2023.
Images must be related to “time on the water” – whether sail boat, power boat, jet ski, dinghy, paddleboard, sea fishing or whatever – around Conwy and the Irish Sea. Photogenic dolphins are especially welcome. Photos should have been taken since 1st October 2022 and to give everyone a fair chance you can submit up to six photos. Photographs should be emailed to CMBHA via [email protected].
Images should be landscape and allow for decent print quality (i.e. 6 to 8 megapixel or better), be less than 10MB in size to allow emailing, and preferably in JPEG format. Minor manipulation of images using Photoshop or equivalent is allowed but should be your own work and must not contravene the rights of any 3rd party.
The competition is open to anyone except members of the CMBHA committee. By entering, you agree that your photograph may be used for promotional purposes including a non-exclusive, irrevocable license for CMBHA to reproduce and publicise your image(s) in all media including display in the calendar.
Entry is free and submitted photographs will be judged by CMBHA committee members. The top 20 images will be added to the Conwy Mariners Facebook page in early October and the number of reactions on each image will determine the final 12 photographs to be used in the calendar. Voting will take place during October 2023 and the calendar will be on sale via the CMBHA website in November.
The annual membership prize will be for the 2024-2025 calendar year. No cash alternative to the prize is available. Winners will be contacted by email.
