We regularly engage with relevant organisations to discuss matters raised by members. Updates are provided below.
- The transition to become part of Premier Marinas:- is currently paused during the summer sailing period. This transition is likely to recommence with further updates during October/November.
- Boatfolk App and Harbour Assist Login Issues:-
Some members have reported problems logging into the Boatfolk App and password resetting. Issue resolved . - Payments:-
Routine payments continue to be processed as normal. - Boatcare Services:-
Boatcare has ceased operations in the marina. At present, no replacement service provider is on the '''radar''. members are welcome ask other members for help in our WhatsApp channel - Use of Contractors:-
There are two categories of contractors:Approved contractors who hold an annual access agreement with the marina.
- Non-approved contractors:- Chosen by berth holders. Prior to access being granted by the marina. Any proposed contractor is required to sign waiver at the marina office agreeing that they have insurance and public liability and they will be subject to a £13.00 daily access charge before admittance.
- Approved Contractors List:-
We will endeavor to provide a list of recognised contractors covering a wide range of maintenance and repair services. In progress - 6. Blue Boat Hoist:-
The Blue Boat Hoist is now available after its annual inspection and maintenance. If you require a lift in or out, please contact the marina office on 01492 593000 for booking and current charges. - 7. Marina Wi-Fi:-
Members' longstanding concerns regarding intermittent Wi-Fi coverage across the marina. Last years planned improvements of fibreoptic to adjacent relay masts is postponed until after Premier takes over and a decision can be made. - 8. CCTV Coverage:- Concerns about the limited CCTV coverage, particularly at the far end of the marina. We are awaiting confirmation on whether wider coverage will still be undertaken following Premier's full takeover.
- 9. Dredging:-
- We are aware that dredging is required particularly around the main leg, the first few pontoon legs, hoist and fuel pontoons. Dredging is usually scheduled at the end of the season, subject to the annual dredging licence. Further information will be provided in due course by our marina managementand relayed from this site.
- 10.Fire Alarms:- Independant push button fire alarms are situated along the main pontoon, Once aware marina duty staff takes full control regarding safety of local berth holders and craft including notifying emergency services and the sounding of an loud audible evacuation alarm. Please ensure access and the RV point alongside the Mulberry is not be obstructed. We are enquiring if there any plans to repaint Mulberry's worn and faded car park yellow lines to avoid obstruction by visitors vehicles and the area preventing the passage of marina trolleys and emergency vehicles equipment.
- 11. Marina water egress ladders on each pontoon:-
Members suggestion that a high vis repaint and flags to aid identifying especially if a person is in the water and needs to locate one quickly. Noted that ladders have been repainted bright yellow. - 12. Routine Maintenance:-
Maintenance of the marina and pontoons. Be aware occasional there may be loose boards on some pontoons and also any raised/loose screw heads may cause a trip hazard. Please kindly assist by reporting these locations to to the marina office. - 13. Marina Trolleys:- Please do not leave marina trolleys unattended on the pontoons. Trolleys can easily fall into the water, particularly those without a float attached, which may result in damage to the dredger. Before departing, please return your trolley to its designated storage area to help keep the pontoons safe and ensure trolleys remain available for other marina users.
- 14. Volunteers CMBHA Webcam is currently off-line:- Issue being investigated.
- 15. Conwy Harbour Free Drying Berths:-
A reminder that two drying berths (Harbour wall height 3.8m & 4.5m) are available free of charge for berth holders at Conwy Quay—ideal for those wishing to give their boat a quick scrub! To book, please contact the Harbour Master on 01492 596253. - 16. Security and Privacy:-
Advanced Chat Privacy is enabled on both the WhatsApp Members and Committee channels. Channels are monitored daily. - 17. Fraudulent invitations, suspicious links, or spoofed messages seemingly from CMBHA or deamds to be included on AI. Please let us know and it is advisable not to download, activate or post any external link that has not been verified.
- 18. Using Marine Radios and using appropriate voice procedure:-
- Ship Portable Radio Licence:- This covers the handheld radio itself rather than a specific boat, allowing you to legally carry and use it on any vessel. Ofcom issues these for free if you apply online through the Ofcom Licensing Portal. Operator’s Licence: By law, you must hold a Marine Radio Short Range Certificate (SRC) to legally transmit on marine frequencies. Part 1 can be taken online with the Royal Yachting Association (RYA). They then issue a pass to allow attendance at a one-day training course. At the end of which is practical and theory exam. (The training course must be taken within twelve months of passing the online course).

- For members with a SRC Certificate that predates or have since upgraded to a Radio equipped with Digital Selective Calling it is recommended that the updated RYA SRC course is retaken as this includes the operation of a radio with the DSC functions.
- We will keep an eye out and notify members if any RYA day courses and exam are planned in our area.
- EPIRB's and PLB's :-. Please ensure that these are also registered.
- 19. 16th July 2026. The small wooden yacht that sadly sunk at pontoon berth G20 has now been lifted out to the yard. Thanks to the teams involved.
- 20. Beaumaris Pier:- For information the last known gate code is 5850 (as at 8 Aug 2026).
- 21. Designated disabled parking spaces:- Mulberry car park - Still awaiting repainting as it is a joint responsibility between the Marina and Mulberry to agree.
- 22. Dog fouling:-. Continues to be an occasional problem on some pontoons and also on surrounding public pathways, Owners and guests are cordially reminded to clean up immediately after their pets actions and dispose of correctly and not by dropping it in the water. Please report any suspected occurances to the marina staff
- 23. Drugs:- There has been a concern that over the August bank holiday that drugs may have been present and used within the Marina. Please report any suspected occurances to the marina staff for further action by them and the Police.
- 24. Drunkenness and Antisocial behaviour:- Following a very recent public incident on the main shore ramp, owners are cordially reminded that they are personally responsible for the actions of all of their guests, including those guests given access to their craft when the owner is not present and who should be informed of the marina and water usage rules. In this instance, Marina staff promptly and successfully responded, with police attending to assist in de-escalating the situation.
- 25. Boatfolks Annual End of Season Party:- Held on Sat 5th Sept 2026. On behalf of all members our grateful thanks go to both the Marina Management and the Staff of of the Mulberry for hosting this very successful evening.
- 26. Conwy Harbour Advisory Committee Update:- The quarterly meeting due to be held this September has been cancelled, as there are no reports to consider, the next meeting is scheduled for December. If there any concerns that members feel should be raised please kindly let the Chair know.
- 27. CMBHA Affiliated Membership of the RYA:- We have renewed our membership of the RYA for the 2027 season.
